Reporting to our Director, Project Management, our Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the key aspects and deliverables of complex projects and will act as the main point of contact with clients, HCPs, and vendors.

 


What your responsibilities as our Senior Project Management will include:

  • Leading the project team in the delivery of entire project lifecycle on projects such as virtual and in-person meetings, eLearning, online education tools, enduring content, and any other SDM service offering
  • Building and coordinating project plans, budgets, and timelines with input from the project team, for review and approval by the Senior Project Lead. Reviewing project work completed by Project Delivery team members and providing feedback
  • Leading and participating in client meetings with other departments such as Scientific Services or Program Services to determine and refine client requirements as needed
  • Assigning work to project management team members to ensure different components of the project come together in a timely manner. Consulting and providing requirements with Project Delivery team members including Scientific Services and Program Services
  • Working with the Scientific Services team to develop meeting agendas, facilitator guides and other materials required for a successful event and evaluating their effectiveness post meeting for process improvement at subsequent events
  • Collaborating with clients, and other key stakeholders, to ensure event execution is in line with commitments, expectations, and budget
  • Coordinating meeting rehearsals with the client and internal leads to review agenda, presentations, and materials, and evaluating/facilitating any last-minute changes
  • Coaching and mentoring Project Managers by guiding them on how to proactively resolve problems and identify solutions and strategies aligned with our client’s needs
  • Having a solution-oriented and innovative mindset to identify and recommend solutions to the Director, Project Management or client
  • Completing project close-out responsibilities, including reconciliation in collaboration with the Senior Project Lead and Finance team

What you’ll need to succeed:    

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Arts or Science, coupled with a minimum of 4 years of project management experience in the execution of medical events, medical education programs, and training materials within an agency environment
  • Experience acting as a lead on projects successfully managing project plans, budgets, and timelines
  • Passion for building strong relationships with clients with a focus on delivering with excellence
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities to meet operational deadlines and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the global pharmaceutical industry and related regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to research and learn about the medical specialties of our clients
  • Experience facilitating or leading virtual and/or in-person meetings
  • Demonstrated awareness of the cultural diversity of clients and other key stakeholders
  • Experience with Monday.com or other project management software is an asset
  • Passion and knowledge of instructional design processes and adult learning is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for working in a team environment
  • A self-starter mindset; demonstrates initiative and ownership of responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a focus on presentations, graphics, and templates
  • Self-direction with integrity, positive attitude, confidence, speed, and with a passion for SDM’s vision, mission, and values
